Contracts Management Overview

The Home Watch IT Contracts Management system is part of the Home Watch Customers app, and you will find it located on the Home Watch Customers tile on your dashboard.

This system makes it easy to manage your Contracts Process:

1. Manage a list of different contract template forms
2. Create a new contract from a template
3. Update the new contract by filling in fields directly from values in HWIT
4. Email the contract to your customer for electronic signature
5. Get notified when the contract is signed
6. Store the final signed contract in the Contracts Management system.
7. Optionally have the customer fill in your intake questions which store directly into your HWIT system.

You can optionally request "intake data" from the customer as part of the Contracts process.

There are two types of Contracts you can manage within the system:  

• Simple, textual-based contracts that just require electronic signature
• More complex contracts that allow the client to check boxes, fill in blanks, select from dropdowns, etc.

The simple contracts can be managed directly in the system without any additional software required.  More complex contracts can be managed using the same process, but the process is integrated with an electronic signature document system, like SignNow or DocuSign.    Currently SignNow is integrated into HWIT and can be used in the above Contracts process.

You can have both types of templates in the Contracts Management system at the same time -- you might have simple contracts for Auto Drive, Security Release, etc., but a more complex Contract for your primary Annual Service Agreement.   The primary Service Agreement could be a SignNow template, and the others a HWIT template.

What does integrating SignNow into HWIT provide over just using SignNow by itself?

-You are able to manage the workflow, fill in the Smart Fields, have the email also guide the user to the intake questions screen all from within HWIT.
