It’s easy to add new templates in MonitorQA (MQA), and once you do so they will automatically sync to your HWIT Business Management System. Normally, this is all you need, however, if you wish to adjust the title formats, the Auditor Hint fields, the email template to use, etc. you can do so on this screen.
You can manage your MonitorQA template links easily directly from the Business Management System. This also includes the ability to customize the Audit Title field on the report. (For details on the fields available and examples of use please see this link.)
To maintain the templates so that they can be used within your Business Management System, go to your Preferences Screen, open the MonitorQA section and click on the link to Manage your Templates. You’ll be taken to this screen:
You’ll see a list of any existing templates you have previously installed. If you need to make edits to any of those templates simply click on the row and make the necessary edits. Press Save when finished.
To update a newly edited template in MonitorQA, cclick on “Sync Templates to HWIT” and see any new changes updated to the list once it refreshes.
Audit Title Format field -- this is where you can adjust the way that the Audit Title is filled in when the report is created. See the above linked article on variables to show you the options. The default of “Entity.LastName Residence” will be filled in for you. You can change what you want in the Audit Title by modifying this field on the table. Other examples might include:
- Entity.FullName Home Visit would produce “George & Sally Smith Home Visit”
- Entity.LastName Activity.Comments would produce “Smith Weekly Home Visit” or “Smith Meet Plumber”
Customer – If a template is to be used only for a single customer, you can select that customer in the Customer field on each row. If picked, this will prevent the template from being displayed on any other customer as a template option.
Override Email Template column would be used if you wish to use a different email template when emailing this report to a client. For example, you might desire different wording on an email when sending a Service Report as opposed to a Home Watch report. If you want more details you can find that information here.
Auditor Hint Format allows you to pass data to the auditor in the “Auditor Hint” field that displays prominently on the MonitorQA application. You can pass anything in particular by using the variables noted above. Note that a maximum of 800 characters is presently supported in this field.
You can also specify that items are to appear on multiple lines in the Auditor Hint field by using a \n character. So for example, if you have the following in the Auditor Hint Format field:
Disarm: Entity.LVHWSecAlarmDisarm\nSpecial Instructions: Activity.WorkOrderInstructions\nNotes: Entity.LVHWOthNotes
It will display as follows in the MonitorQA application:
Disarm: 1923 Off
Special Instructions: Turn water off this visit
Notes: These are the Other Notes from the customer property screen.
Once your fields are set you can press “Save” to save your template to the system.
